I've got wood laminate floor in maple (a pale wood colour), reasonably minimal furniture mostly in birch (another pale wood colour) ... I don't like dark wood colours because it feels too heavy and makes the rooms feel smaller ... where I differ from Scandinavian style is that I don't like their strong colours and fabric designs ...
